Postmen in Brest forced to subscribe to presidential newspaper
A staff at the post office in Brest has confirmed reports that ostal workers are obliged to subscribe to Sovietskaya Belorussia, the newspaper of the presidential administration.
"Yes, we do subscribe. Other agencies subscribe as well. It is called "controlled", says the postwoman. What does it mean? These are newspapers that are under mandatory suscription".
The administration of Belposta in Brest has refuted the reports about a mandatory subscription to Sovietskaya Belorussia. According to official sources, young postal workers get Br250,000 per month, while postpeople with 20 years of experience get around Br500,000.
Sovietskaya Belorussia's daily circulation is 400,000 copies.
