Photo fact: Kurapaty crosses damaged by vandals again
8 crosses and the metal Cross of Memory for the Poles, executed by Stalin's execution squads, were broken by unidentified vandals over the weekend.
According to Radio Liberty, the plotters damaged the memorial tin plates on the Cross, scattered flower baskets and wreaths.
In 1920-1950, Soviet executive authorities shot dead dozens thousand people in Kurapaty stove near Minsk. The truth about this crime steered up the whole society in late 80s. However, acts of vandalism still happen from time to time in Kurapaty. The police usually fail to find the criminals.
