A PACE representative not allowed at Congress of Democratic Forces

A two-day Congress of Democratic Forces that will take place in the Palace of Culture will start at 1 p.m. in Minsk.
The Belarusian authorities have refused to give a visa to a representative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, a deputy of the Lithuanian Seim Emmanuelis Zingeris invited to the Congress.

In its turn, the political council of the democratic forces has refused to give accreditation to journalists of the First Channel (BT).

The head of the political council Alyaksandr Milinkevich, the organizer of his presidential campaign Syrahei Kalyakin and the head of the national committee of the political council Anatol Lyabedzka will make speeches today.

A report of Alyaksandr Kazulin, a former presidential candidate, represented by his lawyer Ihar Rynkevich and his daughter Yulya, and a report of the organizer of his election campaign will be read out at the meeting.

Resolutions “On stopping of prosecution of citizens for their views, releasing political prisoners and rehabilitation of the victims of the regime”, “Stop the authorities’ violation of citizens’ social rights”, “Appeal of the congress of the United Democratic Forces to the international community” will be adopted at the meeting.

Creation of the congress fractions is also planned for today.
