Only 7 million people to remain in Belarus by 2050

The forecast includes the report on population of the UN fund. In general, the number of earthlings will increase by 1.5 times and will total more than 9 million people.
The Ukrainian population will also decrease from 45.9 millions to 30.9 millions. Russia will remain the most populated former USSR state although its population will drop by 34 millions – down from 141.8 to 107.8 million people in 2050. Georgia, Armenia and Moldova will also witness negative population growth – their population will be decreasing by 0.8% every year and will drop from 3.8 to 2.9 millions.

Population growth IN CIS member states will be registered in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The countries will be leaders in population growth – 1.5% a year: the number of their inhabitants will increase from 6.8 millions to 10.8 million in 2050.

According to the document, major population growth will be registered in African countries. The average year index of population growth will be 2.3%. The Democratic Republic of Congo will become the most populated country of the Black Continent. More than 186 million people will live there in 2050 (the current population is 64.7 millions).
