Not a single car is queuing near Belarusian-Polish border

Cars disappeared from the border check-point “Varhsauski Most” right after Christmas. An ERB reporter tried to find out where were all those who needed to cross the state border.
— People do not have visas and we have no work to do – says an employee of a insurance company situated in a small kiosk not far from the border. – They have not managed to invent a way of getting a Schengen or a national Polish visa.

The usual crowd has disappeared from the railway station where you can get on an electric train “Brest-Teraspol”. A ticket to Teraspol costs about 5 thousand BRB so this way across the border is considered to be the cheapest. However, potential passengers are taking their time and the trains are almost empty.

The “Varshauski Most check-point was full just a week before the New Year’s Day. More than 150 cars were waiting in a queue. Meanwhile, the queue near the General Consulate of Poland in Brest has also become much shorter.

People say that it is rather difficult to collect documents needed to confirm the aim of your trip to Schengen states. Some people are already looking for foreign partners just to get an invitation from Poland and a copy of the work contract.
