Natural gas explosion in Vitsebsk
Gas condensate exploded on November 17 in a Vitsebsk's sleeping district, causing the destruction of a concrete well and throwing the well cover several meters away.
A 13-year-old boy was injured with face and eye burns, the local police department told the European Radio for Belarus.
The teenager tossed a lit petard into the well, thus triggering the blast. Gas safety officials said they detected no gas leakage in the area.
Investigators are probing why the gas condensate was built up inside the well and who is responsible for the accident.
