Minsk fails to approve contract for Ukrainian electricity supply

Supplies of Ukrainian electricity to Belarus have not been resumed yet. According to "Kommersant-Ukraine" newspaper, prsident Lukashenka has not approved the contract.
"Ukrinterenergo" company was supposed to restart electricity export to Ukraine on June 1 after a two years break. The contract for 100 mln. kWh per month until the end of 2009 was signed in May, 2009. The total volume of the contract is estimated as 31 mln Usd.
