Minibus explodes near House of Government
A real blast has occurred during the shooting of Avel, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.
The incident occurred in Independence Square on February 1. The minibus belonging to the camera crew exploded and burnt down during the shooting of the scandalous film Avel.
The reason for the explosion was a gas equipment malfunction, rescuers said. According to the official ECM Twitter, the driver received barotraumas.
The blast and fire were sham and nobody was injured, producer of Avel Syarhei Zhdanovich claimed later. The ECM press service confirmed it.
However, the camera crew disagreed with it and claimed that the blast was real. The injured driver’s name is Alyaksandr Lazar, journalists report. He was indeed taken to Minsk Emergency Hospital with fractures, burns, brain concussion and gas poisoning.
