Lyapis Trubetskoy rock band to launch 'Belarusian album' in Vilnius (photo)

Lyapis Trubetskoy release the album named "Hraj" - the first album in their history that is composed of the songs with the Belarusian language lyrics exclusively. The concert presentation will take place in Vilnius on November 30.

The album "Hraj" consists of 12 Belarusian songs written and recorded during the last 10 years, including two tracks that are brand-new. However, the target group of the album is not just Belarus and Belarusian audience.

"We travel all around the world promoting ourselves as a band from the hero city Minsk," Mikhalok says."We sing songs in different languages, and we are very pleased as there are always people who sing "Ramonki", "Hraj", "Nia byc skotam" and other Belarusian songs along with us. Obviously, these lyrics and the ideas they represent are close tot he international audience as well. So, the album is made not only for the Belarusians all over the world, but for everyone who is interested in our music, Belarusian language and Belarusian culture."

The concert presentation will be held at the biggest concert ground in Lithuania - Siemens Arena in Vilnius, that admits 12,5 thousand viewers. This will be the only concert with this program - the musicians are never going to repeat it. In Russia and other countries Lyapis Trubetskoy will present the program  "Lyapis Crew".

According to the press-release distributed by the band's management team, Minsk city hall banned any outdoor advetising of the Vilnius concert "Hraj". The organizers reserved about 20 billboards in Minsk, but the campaign was prohibited with no explanation at the stage of the draft approval in the Ideology Committee of Minsk city hall. The band Lyapis Trubetskoy wasn't even mentioned in the billboards and posters. 

In Belarus, tickets to the concert "Hraj" are available only in the office of the "Shabli" agency: Minsk, Kalinin Street, 22-8 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on weekdays). The prices are as follows: Br 200 thousand - dance floor, Br 250-300 thousand (stands). If you don't have a Shengen visa, you need to register for the documents submission in the Lithuanian Embassy beforehand (electronic registration is available at the Embassy's website since September 16 till November 20). Residents of Brest and Hrodna regions register and file documents in the General Consulate in Hrodna, same terms.

Belarusians who bought tickets to the concert will be able to get a free visa under a simplified procedure - no certificate from the place of study or work, or documents confirming paying ability are needed.
