KGB drops "extremism" material possession lawsuit
The Committee for State Security (KGB) has dropped a
lawsuit against journalist Andrzej Pisalnik, who was accused in September of
possessing extremist material, Nasha Niva reported.
The KGB claimed that an issue of the Polish-language weekly Glos znad Niemna na uchodzstwie ran an "extremist" article. In all, the KGB charged nine people over newspapers, books and CDs seized by customs officers at the border.
Earlier this week, the regional court in Hrodna overturned a district
judge's ruling declaring an issue of the newspaper Svaboda
"extremist."
