Journalist Ales Zaleuski to stand trial for working for Belsat TV

The trial was initially scheduled for May 20. Zaleuski was informed about it by phone on May 19 without any subpoena.

If the journalist does not appear in court, the police will be asked to deliver him there, representatives of the court said.  TVP reporter Ales Zaleuski has never heard about any case started against him before. He has not received any subpoena either, the BAJ press service reports.

Zaleuski asked the court to postpone the hearing. The trial will be held at 2.30 p.m. on May 28.

The journalist reckons he may be charged with working for a foreign media house without accreditation.
