Іvan Tsіhan becomes hammer-throwing world champion (video)

A Belarusian athlete Ivan Tsihan has become a hammer-throwing world champion for the third consecutive time. Our sportsman showed the best result at the world championship in Japan and left the other athletes far behind. Tsihan threw his hammer for the distance of 83 meters 63 centimeters.

A Slovenian Primaz Kozmus was second. He was 3 centimeters ahead of another Belarusian athlete Vadzim Dzevyatouski who became fourth.

Belarus has three medals now: a gold, silver and bronze one. Our country has moved from the 7th to the 2nd place in the team ranking. Only the USA is ahead of Belarus.
