Head of Presidential Administration: We will have no Maidan

Head of the Presidential Administration, Alyaksandr Kosinets, spoke about the notorious arrests, which were discussed at the last press conference of Alyaksandr Lukashenka. Kosinets noted that there was no detention of citizens at the French embassy during a rally of solidarity with Charlie Hebdo, and now there is no subpoenas, STV channel reports.

As for the detention of participants of the pro-Ukrainian rally, Kosinets said that there were calls for street protests:

Kosinets: "There were appeals to go to the square, to have Belarusian Maidan... What kind of Maidan is it all about? In today's world it is seen as a call for armed action, clashes. We will have no maidans here."

On January 22, near the monument to Taras Shevchenko, about 10 people were detained.
