Head of General Staff Missile Forces Department dismissed

Alyaksandr Lukashenka has laid off the Head of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the General Staff of the Belarus Armed Forces, Major-General Aleh Zyamskoi. The decree was signed by the Head of State on June 23, BELTA reports with reference to press service of President Lukashenka.

Major-General Aleh Zyamskou was born on September 24, 1957 in Moscow. He graduated from Tbilisi Higher Artillery Command School in 1979 and in 1989 - from the Military Artillery Academy named after Mikhail Kalinin. The same year, he began to serve in Belarus and has held a number of senior military positions.

On March 12, 2010 he was appointed Head of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Armed Forces - Chief of Artillery and Rocket Forces Department of the Belarus Armed Forces.
