Head of European Commission office arrives in Minsk and gets down to work

Jean-Eric Holzapfel arrived in Minsk yesterday. He is going to start working as the head of the representative office of the European Commission in Belarus today. At first the mission will function on the basis of a representative office of the Technical Aid to the Commonwealth of Independent States (TACIS). New staff members will be hired, reports BelaPAN.

Let us remind you that the agreement about establishment, privileges and immunity of the office of the European commission in Belarus was signed by the Belarusian government and the European Commission in Brussels on March 7.
