Dutch company may buy Babruisk brewery - “Kommersant”

A Dutch company Heineken is planning to buy the Babruisk brewery “Syabar”. The “Kommersant” newspaper informed about it on December 25 referring to its own source at the plant. The current co-owners of the plant are A1 (member of “Alpha-group”) and Detroit Investment (ex-owner of “Ivan Taranau’s breweries”).

The plant is valued at 60 million dollars (the current shareholders of “Syabar” brewery invested about 35 million dollars in its modernization starting from 2004).

The press service of Heineken claims that the company “does not comment on the rumours”. However, according to “Kommersant” referring to a source in the head office of Heineken, the agreement may be announced by the end of this year.
