CityZen "inspire" Minskers with city zen

Minsk Karl Marx Street has been turning into a pedestrian street every week-end for a few months already. At first the idea seemed bad because disciplined Belarusians kept walking on the pavement and the street looked abandoned and deserted. But the situation has changed thanks to street artists - mimes, stiltwalkers, fakirs and musicians. Although the first street concert was organized in Karl Marx Street almost two months ago - the performance of the band "Reha" - live music has become a common thing there attracting hundreds of people on Saturday nights and on Sundays. The musicians from the band CityZen have decided to make use of the situation and suggested that the present should sing together with them.

CityZen — is a new project created by Rusya (Akana, Shuma), Andrei Apanovich (Triangle, Mamkiny Busy) and Alyaksei Butsko (CherryVata). The city cover band has chosen "Golden Brown" by The Stranglers for the street chorus (soundtrack of the film "Snatch" of Guy Ritchie).

Viewers were enjoying the covers of Massive Attack, Bonobo, Bajka, Uncle, Lukke Ly and were applauding with joy. But only a few people started signing together with Rusya. Probably, The Stranglers are not so popular in our country.

Rusya surprised the audience with exotic musical instruments and played the overtone flute and crackerbox - a small synthesizer transistor without a keyboard.

Ex-member of "Nagual" Maryna Neuhen and her band also performed there. Unfortunately, many people were late for the Moscow musicians' performance due to a schedule mess.
