The Chechen rebels have claimed responsibility for exploding the Moscow-St.Petersburg train last August. The statment by Riyadus Salikhiyn, the group once headed by Shamil Basayev, was posted on the internet, reports the Moscow-based Ekho Moskvy radio station.  The terrorist act was carried out by a group of commandos that returned to their base without losses.
