CEC points to only 'minor tensions' during early voting

The Central Election Commission has not detected any serious violations of electoral laws during early voting, CEC secretary Mikalai Lazavik told Belapan news agency on Sunday. He pointed to only 'minor tensions' between members of electoral commissions and obsevers who, he said, tried to 'discredit' the electoral campaign.

The early voting results have displayed that Belarusian voters are interested in presidential polls. Therefore, there should be no problem with voters' turnout on December 19, and "one can say that the election will he held", CEC secretary noted.
