Belarusian teams make it to world programming championship semi-final

Six Belarusian teams have made it to the semi-final of students’ team competition of Western Region world programming championship. Three of them represent Belarusian State University, two – Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and one team is from Homel State University. Two Russian, two Latvian and three Lithuanian teams have also made it to the semi-final. The quarter-final of the competition took place in BSU the other day. 47 teams from Belarusian, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian and Kaliningrad Region’s universities took part in it. The semi-final will take place in Saint Petersburg at the end of November. The best teams will compete in Stockholm in April 2009.
