Belarus has received $700 million as a state and financial loan from Russia. The money arrived in Finance Ministry's bank account on 15 September.

The money was transfered to refinance Belarus' obligations to Russia under an earlier received loan. The credit was issued for 10 years. Finance Ministry has not revealed the currency of the loan but earlier reports suggested the loan was made in Russian rubles. Loan repayment will begin in several tranches beginning from the spring of 2018.

Euroradio reported earlier Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin agreed on the loan during their meeting in April. The governments of Belarus and Russia signed a follow-up agreement in August in Moscow.
