Belarus bans meat import from Mexico, USA and five other states

Belarus has introduced a temporary ban on the import of meat from Mexico, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Spain, France and Israel.
“Interfax” reports that security measures including admission have been made stricter at all cattle breeding enterprises of Belarus in order to prevent the spread of swine flu.

Furthermore, a temporary ban on the import of meat, poultry and chickenfeed from countries that have registered cases of swine flu and suspect it in people has been introduced. The number of measures will increase if the spread of swine flue continues.
