Beer, alcohol account for 13 percent of Belarus's domestic trade

Beer, alcohol and tobacco sales in Belarus grew in January-April 2008, reports Financial News Agency , citing Prime-Tass. Alcohol drinks and beers accounted for 13 percent of the retail trade in Belarus, totalling Br 1.3 trillion.

The sales of alcohol drinks and beer grew 3.5 percent against the first quarter of 2007 up to 3.317 million dals.

Tobacco sales reached 5.9 billion pieces in January-April 2008, 0.8 percent up against the same period in 2007.
