Authorities disrupt UCP congress

The Palace of Culture belonging to the Tractor Plant was the party’s last hope. They conducted negotiations with its administration.

Lyabedzka: "They told us that everything was okay at 2 p.m. yesterday. We were asked to come on Tuesday or Wednesday to sign the contract. However, they faxed us two hours later and said that the room was not vacant.”

If the party does not conduct the congress, it may be liquidated. The oppositionists are ready to conduct the congress in the street, Lyabedzka said. However, it may be considered an unauthorized action. The UCP has complained to the Ministry of Justice – the Ministry must help the party fulfill the statute norms and goals.

There is only one candidate for the position of the party leader now – Anatol Lyabedzka.
