Authorities accuse opposition of preparation of terrorist acts again
Belarusian opposition presidential candidates urging their adherents to gather in October Square in Minsk are preparing provocations with blasting assemblies. The head of the President’s Administration announced this opinion in an interview with a TV channel “RTR-Belarus”, informs TUT.by.
In Mr. Makei’s opinion, the opposition is not going to conduct a peaceful action. They are preparing groups of militants, buying warm clothes, pyrotechnics and explosives. For example, the head of KGB Stsyapan Syharenka claimed at a press conference that the opposition was preparing a takeover on March 16, 2006. It was said that a criminal case had been started in connection with a terrorist act preparation. TV viewers were shown a video confession of some person who informed about “a spider in a dip-bucket” and claimed that mass poisoning of people was being prepared.
