Alternative oil supply chain from Azerbaijan to Baltic States to be created

Agreement on creation of an enterprise to realize the project of the pipe-line Odessa-Brody-Plotsk-Gdansk was signed in Vilnius on September 10.

Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania participate in the project. The countries consider the new pipe-line to be an alternative to oil supplies from Russia and will create the possibility of oil supplies from the Caspian and Black Seas to the Baltic region, reports “Interfax”.

Let us remind you that the Belarusian government also got interested in the project. Negotiations about Caspian oil supplies to Belarus took place in Kiev in September.
