Aliaksandr Fiaduta sings Okudzhava's songs in prison

Maryna Fiaduta has got two more letters from her husband on Monday, dated March 14 and 16. He has spent more than three months in the KGB detention center by now.

“In his recent letters he writes that he will read Maryna Tsvetaeva since Monday, and that someone bought Okudzhava for him, – Maryna tells. – He will sing Okudzhava's songs in a day then. We read poems at 10 p.m. every night. Naturally, we have all these books at home, and someone buys books for him there. He has no illusions that they are going to release him. He is trying to cheer up in the letters”.

According to Maryna Fiaduta, Aliaksandr has not started studying the case materials yet. There have been no interrogations for more than a week, although ususally they were conducted on a weekly basis.

“He asked about the editorial business, about books and an almanach, – Maryna continues. – We are preparing an almanach, he used to be the editor. Thus, it's not just the "prison novel", but the editorial correspondence between us”.

Aliaksandr Fiaduta also writes memories in prison, apart from letters. 7 copybooks have been written so far, Maryna adds.
