Alfer: only one candidate can collect 100K signatures besides Lukashenka

This year, only one opposition candidate will be able to collect genuine 100 thousand votes in his support. This opinion was expressed by an expert on election law Siarhei Alfer in an interview with Euroradio.

Mr Alfer: "If we talk about the real possibility of candidates to collect signatures, I see only one candidate, except for Lukashenka, who can collect 100,000 valid signatures. If there are more candidates registered, then I will have some doubt that other people have been registered legally."

According to the expert, if the lists of signatories for the nomination of a person as a presidential candidate are not checked, and elections are held under the slogan "You bring - we register," this is not only a violation of the electoral law, but also a violation of "any moral principles of the election."
