Action of solidarity with Georgia takes place in Vilnya
A picket in protest of the Russian intervention took place near the Russian Embassy to Lithuania on August 9 at 12 p.m. The participants of the action were holding Georgian, Lithuanian and Belarusian flags and transparencies with mottos “Let’s stop Russian aggression”, “Belarus with Georgia! Russians, go home!” "No war!", "Russia is not peacekeeper but piecekeeper" and others. Representatives of the Georgian diaspora, Lithuanian youth, higher rank politicians and Belarusians – activists of the “BUNT” movement - took part in the action.

The Georgian Ambassador to Lithuania Georgi Kerdzikashvili expressed his gratitude to all those who had come to support the Georgian people. He urged all who cared to help Georgia in “the information war” against the Russian aggressor: to organize actions of support in their cities and to distribute impartial information about the conflict on forums and livejournal.
