Biathlete Darya Domracheva has no plans to pursue coaching work in Belarus. The four-time Olympic champion said so in an interview with the outlet "Tochka".
Domracheva's family now lives across three countries — Belarus, Norway and Monaco. The first two countries are home to Domracheva and her husband, the renowned Norwegian biathlete Ole Einar Bjørndalen. The family chose Monaco at Bjørndalen's initiative because it is comfortable, safe and no one pays attention to famous individuals.
Previously, Domracheva and Bjørndalen spent more than two years coaching Chinese biathletes. But when asked about a possible coaching career in her home country, the biathlete answers in the negative: "Coaching work is very interesting, but it requires full dedication and devoting almost all of one's time to the process."
Right now, much of her attention is taken up by her growing children — 9-year-old Kseniya and three-year-old Mira. Domracheva says that is her priority at the moment.
