According to different sources, from 6.7 to 7.5 thousand combines couldn’t start work today

According to a Russian newspaper “Krestyanskie vedomosti”, 7 thousand 483 Belarusian combines have not started harvesting crops and legumes today. 6 thousand 769 combines could not do it because of bad weather conditions while 714 experienced technical issues. It was said that the Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition had informed journalists about it. The numbers contradict to the information that can be found on the web site of the Ministry of Agriculture. The site reports that only 6 thousand 709 out of 13 thousand 895 combines have not started their work today. 6 thousand 43 machines did not left their garages because of the rain, while 663 experienced technical issues. The web site of the Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition does not inform what happened to other three machines (6043+663=6706, but not 6709).

With all this going on, the Ministry’s web site reports that 7 thousand 186 combines worked the fields on July 27. 6 thousand 198 combines were used for harvesting crops and legumes.
