The life expectancy of Belarusian women has been much longer than men’s average life for the past 5 years – 74.5 and 62.7 years respectively. At the same time women earn 20% less money than men do.
62% of the public administration employees are women, there are 54% of women in ministries and departments, there is one female Minister and 12 female deputies and there are about 30% of female deputies and senators in the government, reports “Interfax”.
