15:19 Lukashenka to control housing development prices

The Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka thinks that the government is not working enough on the issue of lowering prices for housing development.
The leader of the country informed that he was going to deal with the problem “in a most severe way”.

Speaking about high prices for housing development the President noted that they were caused by the fact that the demand for it exceeded the supply.

At the same time, prices for all kinds of housing development are going up. One of the real reasons is the increasing prices for energy carriers, building materials, expenses for modernizing the building sector that will be finished only at the end of this five-year plan.

The President claimed that it was necessary to modernize the building sector we lost at the beginning of the 1990s.

Lukashenka noted that low prices for housing development will lead to lower wages for builders and necessity to lower prices for building materials.
