Max Mirnyi of Belarus has pushed successfully into the next singles' round of the 2,082,500 euro-worth Masters Cup in Monte Carlo.
The Belarus tennis player, rated 54th in the world's rating, on April 18 defeated Argentina qualifier Sergio Roitman (93) 7:5, 6:4 to reach the 1/8 of the final.

Mirnyi is set to play Sweden's Robin Soederling (28) who beat seed number three Russia's Nikolai Davydenko (4) - 6:4, 6:7 (6:8), 6:3.

Mirnyi and Soederling faced each other five time. Four of the games were won by the Swede, with his latest victory taking place in Minsk in February during the 1/8-final Davis Cup match.
