Yuliya Timoshenko: Ukraine’s future is connected with the European Union
Ukraine’s future and the strategy of its development are connected with the European Union. The Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Timoshenko claimed it at a meeting of the board of directors of the World Ukrainians’ Congress taking place in Lvov.
“Ukraine has built up absolutely new relations with the EU. We are planning to sign a special agreement on a political association with the European Union at the end of the year”, - she said. According to the Prime Minister, “it will open the door to the EU for Ukraine”. “Probably it is not going to happen today, but it will happen tomorrow”, - added Timoshenko.
ITAR-TASS informs that the agreement with the EU prepared to be signed “provides for the creation of a full-scale free trade zone”. Furthermore, Ukraine and the European Union are trying to simplify the visa regime.
