Workers in Homel complain about low pay

Workers from a painting workshop at the Homel-based Homselmash agricultural machinery plant have accused the management of reducing artificially their salaries.  The painters filed letters with various government agencies, complaining that they had to work 11-12 hours a day and on Saurdays over three months at the request of the managers.

The workers claim that they did not get paid for extra hours. But the plant director refuted these allegations.

Meanwhile, several government agencies, including the Ministry of Labor, are inspecting the situation there at the request of the workers, reports Belapan.
