Victim’s common-law husband: Murderer did not repent

The sentence was pronounced in Minsk Zavodski District Court on February 11.

Kazlou was Hanna Sardechkina’s ex-husband. Mikalai, Sardechkina’s common-law husband (they lived together for the last two years) does not believe in Kazlou’s sincerity, he told journalists.

Mikalai: “Ask Anya’s relatives. Have they accepted his confession? He changed his evidence 15 times during the trial, why? Why would you change the evidence when you confess and plead guilty?”

Kanstantsin Kazlou has two weeks to appeal his sentence. He also has to pay over 100 million roubles to the aggrieved party.

Head of the amateur archer club Hanna Sardechkina was strangled by her ex-husband last August. He cut her body into pieces and hid them. Their 4-year-old son was in the flat at the moment of the murder.
