USA: 90% of Russian air attacks not directed against Islamic State

Spokesman for the United States Department of State John Kirby has accused Russia of attacking the Syrian opposition. Only 10% of Russia’s air attacks are directed against the Islamic State terrorists and Al-Qaeda, he claimed. The other attacks were aimed at the Syrian opposition struggling with the Bashar al-Assad regime (supported by Moscow), BBC reports.

Russia keeps saying that it is fighting terrorist groups only.
