U.S Congress urges White House to expel Russia from G8

Besides expelling Russia from the G8, the Congress suggested imposing visa and economic sanctions on Russia. The document is just a recommendation, RIA Novosti reports.  420 congressmen voted pro and only 7 voted contra.

Congressmen urged to send OSCE observers to Crimea and other Ukrainian regions, to stop NATO-Russia military cooperation including the sales of military equipment. The sanctions should be imposed on Moscow together with the EU sanctions. The resolution also stresses the necessity of rendering financial assistance to Kiev.
