U.S. condem human rights violations in Belarus

The United States has remained "deeply concerned" over the human rights violation in Belarus, US representative Douglas Griffin said during the session of the UN Human Rights Council.
The diplomat said Belarus is on the list of countries that have a poor himan rights record associated with the dispersal of peaceful demonstrations, the intimidation of opposition members and human rights activists, the harrassment of minorities along with Afghanistan, Burma, Cuba, Russia and Sri Lanka, reports the web site of the European Belarus civil campaign.

In the recent weeks, two peaceful protest actions were ruthlessly dispersed in Belarus.
