Radio Racyja office visited by unknown men over weekend

Spokesman for the Belarusian Association of Journalists Barys Haretski says nothing has disappeared after the visit of some unknown people to Radio Racyja's editorial office.

Barys Haretski: "The journalists came to work this morning. They knew that the office had been locked properly. They saw all the locks open in the morning. We think this is sort of a warning."

Besides, Henadz Barbarych and Alyaksandr Yarashevich, who were detained when covering the Chernobyl Way demonstration on April 26, had keys from the office on them.

Euroradio reminds that one year ago, right before the May holidays season, the police visited the editorial office of Radio Racyja and confiscated several computers. According to Barys Haretski, this is a warning to the journalists to scare them away from coming to the office during Victory Day celebrations on May 9.
