Trials of participants of Sevyarynet’s book presentation start in Brest

Trials of participants of the presentation of Pavel Sevyarynets book detained on August 19 have started in Moscow District Court of Brest. They are accused of participation in an unauthorized meeting. A local activist Yurka Bakur, whose trail is also assigned for today, described the peculiarities of Brest trails for ERB:

“The trial will be organized in three stages: three people will stand trial today, another three people – tomorrow and the other seven people – on Tuesday”.

According to Bakur, the trial of Raman Kislyak has already started. The trials of Andrei Sharanda and Bakur are also planned for today. However, the latter thinks that the hearing of Kislyak’s case may take two days because a lot of witnesses for the defense are expected to come and a video will be demonstrated.

There are about 50 people in the court room now. The leader of the movement “For Freedom” Alyaksandr Milinkevich and the co-leader of the steering committee of the creation of the “Belarusian Christian Democracy” party Alyaksei Shein are among them.

Let us remind you that Pavel Sevyarynets is serving his 15-days sentence in Brest.
