Tram collision in Minsk, 5 passengers injured (photo)

Two ambulances arrived at the spot, Belarus 1 reports. An injured girl refused to go to hospital. Four pensioners (3 women and one man) were taken to hospital. Light cerebral injuries are suspected in them. Moreover, one of the injured may have a shoulder fracture.

Driving inspector Mihail Bizunok reports:

"Some of the passengers were injured and taken to Minsk hospitals. Investigators are working on the spot to find out the details of the road accident.”

The collision occurred due to an outage. One of the engine drivers tried to brake but could not avoid the collision. Judging by the damage done to the trams, the concussion was rather hard.

The tram traffic in Masherau Avenue was temporarily stopped due to the incident.
