Residents of the settlement of Vradiyevka, Nikolaiv region demanded to bring policemen-rapists to responsibility on July 1.
In the opinion of the people, the colleagues of one of the policemen are trying to cover up for him. He is free now. The policemen used tear gas when defending themselves. According to some of the participants of the riot, the policemen also used guns, there are people wounded.
According to UNIAN, a criminal case was started upon the fact of the assault. The heads of the district and regional police lost their jobs.
On June 26, three men dragged a 29-year-old woman into a car, beat and raped her. The victim is in the brain surgery department of a hospital in Nikolaiv with open scull fractures, cut wounds on her head and face, bruises. Two of the attackers are policemen, the third one - a taxi-driver.
