Tatstsyana Sevyarynets: “It’s a political case”
A teacher from Vitsebsk Tatsyana Sevyarynets hasn’t managed to return to work even after the trial. Pershamaiski District Court of Vitsebsk declined her appeal against the Department of Education on June 18. Let us remind you that Sevyarynets was fired from her school for absence from work regardless of the fact that the headmaster had allowed her to take a leave.
Tatsyana Sevyarynets couldn’t come to the hearing of her case today and was represented by Kastus Sevyarynets. ERB phoned her when she was returning from Ukraine to Vitsebsk by train. She already knew about the today’s court decision.
Tatstsyana Sevyarynets: “Of course it is a political case. It’s beyond the field I had been hoping it would be limited to. I thought it would be the sphere of working conditions. But this is politics.”
Tatstsyana Sevyarynets says she would continue trying to get her job back.
