Swedish childrens' cinema festival opens in Minsk

The festival of Swedish cinema for children has today opened in Minsk to mark the 100th birthday anniversary of renowned fairy-tale writer Astrid Lindgren. The Swedish writer was born on November 14, 1907.
In the next three days, the Central Cinema Theater will screen three movies: "Little Nils and Carlsson", "All Our Kids are from Bulerbue" and "Brothers Lionhearts". All the films will be dubbed in the Belarusian language with the English subtitles, Swedish envoy in Minsk Stephan Ericsson told the European Radio for Belarus.

Ericsson also reminded that Yuras Zhalezka had recently translated Lindgren's "A Little Boy and Carlsson" into the Belarusian language. The book will soon the stores, for the first time in the Belarusian language.
