Standard & Poor's agency predicts rapid price growth in Russia

According to the agency, the price increase will quicken by winter. It will happen due to the lack of products caused by the import ban. Russian companies will need some time to sign contracts with new suppliers, BBC reports.

The prices of some of the banned goods went up in Russia in August. For example, the prices of meat and poultry went up by 2.5% (0.2% in August 2013). Fish prices increased by 1.4% (0.7% in August 2013). The tendency was preserved in September.
