Soldiers help put out forest fires in Brest and Homel Provinces

The previous heat wave has resulted in forest and peatbog fires in the south of Belarus. An emergency commission of the Belarusian Council of Ministers has decided to use the Army to help put out these fires.

Soldiers of the engineer, transport, radiation and chemical protection security troops are helping in Lelchysty District of Homel Province and in Stolin District of Brest province now, BelaPAN reports.

Army machines and equipment are used there. Engineer machines, pumping plants and pipelines are engaged in the process.
