Saint Sophia Cathedral in Polatsk to be closed for restoration on Monday

Saint Sophia Cathedral in Polatsk will be closed for restoration. Today is the last day when it is open to the public. Guests will be offered virtual excursions during the period when it will not be possible to visit the cathedral in reality, notes the ONT Channel. BelTA informs that the project of the restoration is meant for three years and includes replacement of roof timbers, woodwork needed to change the windows and repair the front. The repairs will be financed by the republican budget.
