Sailor returns from North Korean captivity 40 years after abduction

25 fishermen were captured by the DPRK with him back then. Jeon Wook-pyo was the only one who managed to escape in August 2013. He has returned to South Korea. The sailor is already 68 years old.

He will be allowed to return to his relatives’ in the south of the country after an investigation, RIA Novosti reports.  

 The abduction of South Korean citizens by North Korea is one of the most thorny issues in the relations of these states.
